Swap

What is a swap pool and its purpose?

Pre-depositing tokens into the swap pool lets you initiate swap anytime, reducing the risk of sandwich attacks by bots.

You can keep swapped tokens in the pool for future use. This process removes deposit wait times and may lower transfer fees. You can manage your balance anytime, with options to deposit or withdraw as needed.

I didn't receive the tokens after the swap.

Using ICP/ICS as an example, select the trading pair you initiated. Your tokens will be kept in the swap pool. You can either withdraw them from the swap pool or keep the swapped tokens there for future use.

Click 'All your pool balance' to manage your Swap Pool balance anytime.

What to do if the transaction is waiting for a long time?

You can refresh the page, but doing so might cause the transaction to fail. Your tokens may remain in the swap pool balance. You can either withdraw them from the swap pool or leave the swapped tokens there for future use.

What are USD valuation, price impact, and slippage tolerance?

USD valuation

On the swap page, the value displayed under the token represents its USD valuation, with the percentage indicating the change in USD value.

When a user buys a large amount of a token and the pool's liquidity isn't enough to accommodate the transaction, you may notice a significant change in the USD valuation, such as -30.52%. Another scenario is when the price of one token in a trading pair fluctuates while the other remains stable, causing changes in the USD valuations of both tokens. The change in USD valuation can be positive, negative, or zero.

Price impact

Price impact refers to the change in the price of a token due to the size of your transaction relative to the liquidity in the pool. Essentially, when you perform a trade, the price of the token in the pool adjusts based on the trade size. The larger your order relative to the available liquidity, the greater the price impact.

Slippage tolerance

Slippage tolerance refers to the maximum acceptable difference between the expected price of your trade and the price you actually receive. This is a setting you can adjust before completing a swap or adding liquidity.

If the price deviates beyond this percentage from the expected price, the transaction will fail. A higher slippage tolerance can help ensure your trade goes through, but it can also expose you to unexpected losses due to price changes.

Liquidity

You need to set it to full range when adding a new pool.

Ways to resolve failure in adding liquidity.

If adding liquidity fails, your tokens will remain in the swap pool balance. You can either use the swap pool balance to try again or withdraw your tokens.

What is Single-Sided Liquidity?

Where will my liquidity reward be returned?

When you click "Collect Fees," your position rewards will be returned to your wallet.

What happens if my liquidity position goes out of range?

You will not earn any trading fee rewards if the current price goes out of the price range defined in your position.

On top of that, all tokens will be converted to one single asset depending on the direction of the price condition.

For example, if a position of ICP/ckUSDC is configured with a price range of 4 ckUSDC per ICP to 12 ckUSDC per ICP. And all assets in the position will be converted to ckUSDC if the ICP price is higher or equal to 12 ckUSDC per ICP, and vice versa.

Please note that if the price moves back in the range, you will start receiving trading fee rewards again. No additional actions are required. Or you can remove the liquidity and add it again.

Farm

How to explain the APR of Farm?

The current APR is calculated as an average based on the latest distribution rewards data. The actual returns from staked positions depend on the concentration of the selected price range, the staking duration, and the number of tokens staked.

How to get my farming rewards?

The farm rewards will return to your wallet whenever you unstake the position. You can unstake your position at any time.

Staking Pool

How to explain the APR of Staking Pool ?

The APR (Annual Percentage Rate) in a staking pool is calculated based on the number of reward tokens earned per second for each staked token. The potential annual return (APR) depends on the value of the staked tokens and the value of the reward tokens.

Do I need to click "Harvest" before unstaking?

  1. You can click "Harvest," and your rewards will be returned to your wallet balance.

  2. 2. Alternatively, you can click "Unstake," and your rewards will also be returned to your wallet balance.

What happens if clicking unstake/stake/harvest fails?

You can use 'Reclaim' feature in case of issues during staking, unstaking, reward claims, or transaction failures due to token canister issues.

Cycles

What happens when a token is out of cycles?

When a token is out of cycles, the following situations will occur:

  1. The token will not be displayed in your wallet.

  2. You will be unable to swap it. Even if you attempt to swap, it will not succeed, and your tokens will be stuck in the pool, unable to be displayed in the pool balance.

My token can’t be retrieved due to being out of cycles.

  1. You need to wait for the token project team or users to top up the cycles.

How to top up the cycles?

Remember that anyone can top up a canister; you don't need to be the controller of the canister to send it cycles. However, to view a canister's cycles balance, you must be its controller.

    • Step 1: Add the XTC token to your wallet.

  • Step 2: Click "Top-up."

  • Step 3: Enter the Canister ID and the amount.

  • Step 1: Navigate to the My Canisters section of the dapp.

  • Step 2: Click Link Canister.

  • Step 3: Add a canister principal. The user doesn't need to control the canister.

  • Step 4: Once the canister is added, click on that canister.

  • Step 5: Click Add cycles to add cycles using the ICP in your NNS frontend dapp.

Wallet

Logging into ICPSwap through Identity does not display the balance.

Internet Identity(II) generates new Principal IDs and Account IDs for each Dapp. So, logging into ICPSwap with II will create a new wallet.

You need to transfer the tokens from your balance address (NNS or other dapps) to ICPSwap wallet.

Tokenlist

How to list a token on the tokenlist?

The difference between SNS tokens and non-SNS tokens.

SNS tokens and non-SNS tokens (like ICP) are both used within the Internet Computer ecosystem, but they serve different purposes and have different characteristics.

  • SNS tokens are unique to each Service Nervous System (SNS), which is the Internet Computer's built-in solution for decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs) to govern dapps. Each SNS DAO has its own unique SNS token.

  • Non-SNS tokens like ICP are used more broadly within the Internet Computer ecosystem.

When initializing a new pool, the "Set Price Range" is set to "Full Range" by default. .

Single-sided liquidity refers to a position where you only provide one of the two tokens in a liquidity pool. For example, in the ICS/ICP trading pair, adding liquidity only for ICS or ICP is considered single-sided liquidity. .

However, due to network issues, the transaction may fail, and your tokens may remain in the swap pool balance. In that case, you can select your trading pair and withdraw your tokens from (as shown in the image below).

After the recharge, a proposal to add an administrator needs to be submitted (the submitter is typically ICPSwap team; ). Once the proposal is approved, the ICPSwap developers will process the stuck tokens. After processing, the tokens will be displayed in the swap pool balance.

Topping up a canister with the .

Please submit a Motion proposal on ICPSwap SNS. (You can submit proposals via ). Once the proposal is adopted, the ICPSwap team will add the project's token to the token list.
